My Story

On June 27, 2022, I walked away from alcohol after over 11 years of letting it consume my life. IPA, Lagunitas was my favorite. I polished off a twelve-pack every weeknight, and on weekends, it was at least a case per day, often with a few extras thrown in. At the time, I was over 80 pounds heavier, sedentary, and physically imbalanced—so much so that I walked like someone decades older than my 43 years. I had alopecia and was accustomed to shaving my head. Thankfully, I could pull it off!

After my version of a “dark night of the soul,” I decided to reclaim my life. I made a proactive plan and fully committed to alcohol freedom. Today, I am alcohol free. I can be around alcohol and feel zero desire. I feel as if I never drank at all—and I am profoundly grateful.

The transformation didn’t stop with sobriety. My hair is growing back, I’ve shed over 80 pounds, and I walk with grace and ease. I am reverse-aging; people often tell me I look younger. More importantly, my energy reflects the love, joy, and bliss I intend to share with others. I am still learning, still discovering myself—no filters, no delusions, just pure self-love. I have fallen in love with myself, quirks and all.

Before alcohol freedom, I feared I’d lose my “fun” side. Instead, I am even more vibrant, present, and memorable—without losing a single moment to foggy mornings or regrets. I remember everything, and I enjoy it even more.

Reflecting on my journey, I realize the true key to my transformation is simple self-care. Taking time for myself, putting myself first, checking in regularly, realigning when needed, and caring for myself as I would care for a loved one. These tools are accessible to everyone, simple, overlooked, and free—with only positive side effects.

I feel incredible, and I want everyone to experience this level of vitality and joy. If I can do it, so can you. Life is about self-love, self-care, and allowing yourself to thrive. When your cup is full, you have more to give to your family, your community, and the world.

We are all here to enjoy life, create, feel great, and experience all the goodness available to us—it’s our birthright. The first step starts with you. Set yourself up for success with simple self-care, and watch everything in your life flourish.

One of my favorite quotes, by Henry Ford, says it best:
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."
